A Tribute to Tim Tadsen

By Bob Johnson: President, Toledo Beach Dockominium Association

The three expressions that come to mind when I think of the contributions that Tim Tadsen has made to the success of the Toledo Beach Dockominium Association are Appreciation, Thank You, and Gratitude. His contributions go far beyond the words Appreciation and Thank You. While heartfelt, they can only scratch the surface. But the term that I can only express from my experience and the the support that Tim has given me is Extreme Gratitude. Tim was there when there was a cloud over the survival of the marina and the Association when Vinings went into bankruptcy. The dedication that he exhibited when facing the challenges of Sterling's purchase of the marina and then making the transition to Safe Harbor cannot be emphasized enough.

We all appreciate how year after year Tim worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that every budget balanced and that every dollar was accounted for. He kept meticulous records that withstood the scrutiny of auditors and members alike. His treasurer's reports presented at the annual meetings were understandable to the average dock owner and he was always happy to answer questions and to take every comment seriously.

In my opinion, it goes without saying that not only was Tim an outstanding board member, but I also have to acknowledge his wife and first mate Liz who was always there at each annual meeting passing out the agendas and taking attendance. She was very accommodating when we had ad hoc meetings on their boat. So I sign off on behalf of the entire association our expression to Tim and Liz Tadsen of extreme appreciation and gratitude for their many years of service.

"Thank you, Tim & Liz!
